Wednesday, the mother of three shared the first photo of her daughter since she went out publicly, posting an interview the couple did with People. In the photo, Jamie and Ruby had their hands on top of each other. The Halloween the star looked stylish in an all black ensemble while her daughter was gorgeous with a beautiful gothic look, with fishnet sleeves.

The 62-year-old had a loving caption for her daughter, writing: “‘Helping others is something everyone should be doing. I don’t think it’s just our housekeeping business. It should be a human thing. ‘”

She added with love: “Ruby, I am proud to be your mother. Today more than ever. “
Fans rushed to lend their support to Jamie and Ruby as they left many complimentary messages in the comments.
One of them wrote: “She is beautiful. It’s not hard to see how proud you are of her, “while a second added:”I’m one of your biggest fans and I’m trans. It just made me love you more.“

Jamie opened up about Ruby’s transition in a cover interview with AARP in July as she revealed that she and her husband Christopher Guest “watched with wonder and pride our son become our daughter Ruby”.
Jamie also revealed that Ruby is engaged and will be celebrating the happy couple’s wedding next year.

Earlier this year, the Knives Out the star became frank as she spoke of HELLO! on his battles against alcohol addiction.
“My recovery is the greatest accomplishment I will ever have in this human life,†she said. “I have a generational connection to drug addiction and drug addiction in my family and have been able to catch it, look at myself in the mirror, understand the problem and have been clean and sober for 22 years.”
Jamie marked his 22nd birthday of sobriety this year with a proud and poignant message to help others struggling with drug addiction. Beside a picture of her looking fresh with a bottle of tequila, she wrote: “A LONG TIME ago… In a galaxy far, far away… I was a young STAR in WAR with herself I didn’t know it so I chased it all away, I kept it hidden, I was sick like my secrets.
“With the grace of God and the support of MANY people who could relate to all the ‘feelings’ and a few sober angels … I was able to stay sober, one day at a time, for 22 years.”
