The Grande Prairie Center for the Arts in Stuttgart will host an artists’ reception for photographer Kenneth Terry from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The photography exhibit by Stuttgart-native Terry is on view at the center this month, according to a press release.

“I’m an avid photographer who’s lived in Stuttgart all my life,” said Terry. “As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a camera, but I didn’t start using it seriously until around 2011. I love meeting new friends and am always ready to help anyone with photography tips. I enjoy spending my free time hiking and photographing in our beautiful state, which has so much to offer.

“I mainly shoot nature and wildlife, but there’s nothing like spending most of the night photographing the Milky Way and the stars. It’s nothing to get up at 1 a.m. to photograph a sunrise in northern Arkansas, an elk in Boxley Valley, or bald eagles somewhere and come home after dark. the night. I usually go out of state a few times a year to hike, take photos, and try to take a big trip to a national park,” Terry said.

Terry’s exhibit features both color and black-and-white photography and covers a wide range of subjects, according to the release.

To make an appointment to view the exhibit, interested participants should contact the arts center at (870) 673-1781. For more information on art classes and opportunities, visit www.grandprairiearts.com.
